Week 2: Reply to Hailey

Hello Hailey

As stated in your blog, it believe it also very important to have a proper division of words to images for affective learning. Having too much of either is not good, but aimlessly putting images may overshadow the content that is being taught. Similarly I found it very interesting how both images and text are processed visually (which makes total sense if you think about it) but we don’t usually notice this. In response to the screencast, it is really impressive how although you ran into a couple issues you were still able to complete and unload a video with the combination of several tools. Part of my co-op at UVic was to support instructors with the new screen recording program called Echo 360. It is quite useful when it comes to in class recordings of lectures that captures both camera and display, can be accessed as a live lectures. While being much less distracting to instructors to complete in person lectures allowing for both in person experience and online for students.
